PPEC represents key parts of Canada’s paper packaging recycling value chain.
To reflect this, we offer different membership categories tailored to the roles and contributions of mills, converters, recyclers, and industry partners.
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
Packaging Mill
Packaging mill membership is open to any mill which produces linerboard, medium, boxboard or kraft paper. Fees are based on quarterly Canadian shipments (using Metric Tonnes as the measurement).
Packaging Converter
Packaging converter membership is open to any integrated or independent converter using corrugated or boxboard materials to produce finished packaging products. Annual fees are based on the number of plants/facilities owned by the member, currently at $1,220/plant.
Corrugators
Corrugating members who own corrugating machines. Member dues are received as levies through the Canadian Corrugated and Containerboard Association (CCCA).
Associate Member
Associate membership is open to any supplier of goods or services for our Converter and Mill members. Annual fees: $1,220.
Recyclers
Open to private-sector companies involved in recycling operations that supply recycled fibre feedstock, such as integrated mills and waste management firms that collect and process paper packaging grades in Canada. This category focuses specifically on recycling-related issues, not broader waste management concerns, and does not include municipal or public-sector providers. Annual fees: $1,220.
